Meet Toye - and you will fall in love.  Toye is a beautiful red fawn girl with a gorgeous smooth coat.  She is on the large side for a girl - she weighs 69 pounds.  However, she is a sweet gentle spirit and she LOVES to have attention.  She was born May 21, 2008.  Toye moved in to her foster home and behaves as though she was always there.  She has been a very easy dog to live with.  She is bouncy and happy but is not overbearing in the least.  She gets along well with all of the other dogs in her foster home and she doesn't mind the kitties at all.   She walks well on the leash and fits in perfectly with as many as five other dogs when she is walked in a group.  She is also good in her crate.  She would make a wonderful companion dog because she is so easy going.  Toye will be at some of our upcoming meet and greet events.  Come on by and meet Toye; she is a keeper!!

Bruno is a handsome black male with a very pleasant personality.  He was born January 14, 2009 and he weighs around 68 pounds.  Even though his name sounds rough and tough, Bruno is a very well behaved boy with a lovely disposition. He has a fantastic temperment and is very gentle.  He loves people and other animals and gets along famously in his foster home where he is loved by hounds and people alike.  He loves going for walks and likes to sniff everything along the way; he takes in everything around him.  However, he is excellent on the leash.  He is curious about everything he sees and seems to enjoy life in general.  He's a well rounded dog and should get along well in almost any environment.  Bruno is an excellent traveller and would love going along for the ride.  He will be attending our meet and greet events soon; come out and meet this handsome and friendly guy!!

Kendra is an absolutely beautiful red brindle girl.  She is a real show stopper!  No only that, she is a gentle, polite and well behaved girl.  Although on the quiet side, she is not in the least bit shy or reserved.  She was born September 21, 2008 and she is very petite, weighing only 53 pounds.  She has been a dream to foster and has eased into living in a home in record time.  She gets along with all of the other greyhounds in her foster home.  She is not cat friendly.   Kendra is a very happy and well adjusted dog and is fun to be around. She is also very fond of affection and loves to be petted.  She likes to meet people and would make a great companion for someone who likes to walk, travel or just hang out.  We think that Kendra would make a great dog for a first time adopter.  If you are interested in Kendra, come visit her at one of our meet and greet events.

Meet Maya.  Maya is a very pretty red brindle greyhound; she has the most interesting coat with a lot of white highlights that give her a unique look.  She is three years old (will be four in June) and is on the small and petite side at 54 pounds.  She has a very gentle nature and is not pushy in the least.  If you want a dog that is your closest companion, Maya is your girl!  She loves to follow her foster mom everywhere and just wants to be close by.  She likes being around people as much as she enjoys being with her greyhound housemates.  She is quiet but not shy at all.  She can be a bit of a watchdog! She has been great in her foster home and has adjusted well to the routine.   She gets along with all of the other greyhounds and small dogs and she is living with cats in her current foster home.  We think that Maya is a great dog; don't let her get away!

Alf
What a handsome and happy boy!  Alf has a magnificent sleek black coat.  Alf was born November 20, 2008 and he weighs 67 pounds.  Alf can best be described as a very happy and outgoing dog that loves being around people.  He is a real charmer!  He is great in his foster home and has won over all of the people he meets.  He exudes personality but is not pushy.  He walks great on the leash and loves taking walks; he walks with multiple dogs and never has a problem.  He seems to get along no matter what happens - he just rolls with the flow. Alf is not cat friendly, nor does he like small barky dogs.  He gets along fine with larger dogs and all of the other greyhounds he meets.  Alf would make a good family dog because of his carefree and playful personality.  He would make a good dog for someone who likes to travel or go places with their dog.  Alf is loved by all of our volunteers and you will love him too!

Cooch
Cooch is a four year old white and brindle male. He weighs approximately 68 pounds. Cooch is friendly and mellow. He has a soft coat with beautiful brindle patches and he has two brindle patches that cover his eyes and ears and match perfectly.  He has a cute face with ears that go up and flip over. He has adjusted very quickly to being in a foster home and is doing above average.  He likes all of the other dogs in his foster home.  We are not sure about whether he is cat safe yet and he still has to be tested.  He seems to roll with the flow no matter what is going on and is an overall laid back guy.  He enjoys walks and hanging out with his humans.  We think Cooch will make a great all around family pet.  He will be attending some of our upcoming meet and greet events soon.  Come out and visit him and you will understand why we think he is so greyt!

Emma
Meet Emma!  Emma is a beautiful red greyhound with a black face and beautiful markings around her eyes.  Emma was born March 17, 2008.  She is on the small side, weighing 55 pounds.  Emma was an excellent racer but suffered a broken leg in November 2011.  The leg was surgically repaired and she is totally back to normal.  Her injury should have no bearing on her status as a pet.  Emma has a sweet and pleasant personality and is friendly and outgoing.  She has been in foster care since her surgery and has adapted wonderfully to life in a home.  Emma is more than ready to be in her forever home!   She is cat friendly and gets along with small dogs as well as all greyhounds!  Emma would make a wonderful companion dog for a retired person or a great family dog in the right environment.  Come out and meet Emma at one of our meet and greet events!
