Jewel is a gorgeous and calm natured dark brindle greyhound that is looking for her forever home now that she has retired from being a brood mom.  Jewel was born February 10, 2002 and she weighs 60 pounds.  She is a quiet and sometimes shy girl; she is a bit hesitant until she gets comfortable.  She came from the farm and settled into living in her foster home as though she had always been there.  She is great with the other dogs and has never had one accident since she arrived.  She seems to know what to do and never causes any problems.  She should go into a home where someone will give her the space and time it takes to relax.  Jewel had a broken leg at one time which, after it healed, developed arthritis.  She does not limp but does hold the leg up when standing still sometimes. She is an awesome dog and will make someone a wonderful pet.

Wrigley's was described to us by his caretakers as "the nicest dog in the kennel."  That says a lot about a greyhound! Since we've brought him into our program, we know why they liked him so much! He is a very laid back and loving boy that not only is the favorite of all the humans he's met, but he gets along very well with all of the other dogs in his foster home.  He has a gorgeous, sleek and thick coat and beautiful brown eyes.  He was born April 1, 2006 and he weighs around 70 pounds.  He is considered "cat workable" because, although he shows curiosity when he sees a cat, he can be redirected away.  We think a person with greyhound experience could easily teach him to live with a cat.  He is part of the "gum" litter (they were all named after brands of chewing gum).  We love his name!  We think he is a very nice dog and now that he is in our program, we would love to find him his perfect home.

We first brought Abbey into our program in February and placed her on Craiger's List.  Abbey was a shy dog and we felt at the time that she should go into a home with only a seasoned adopter and one who could deal with a very shy and fearful dog.  However, since Abbey has been in our program (and in a foster home with very experienced people), we feel that Abbey has blossomed into a happy and friendly girl.  Abbey was born August 25, 2007 and she weighs around 60 pounds. She is cat safe and small dog safe.  Although she is still a little on the reserved side at first, she quickly warms up.  She is friendly and outgoing when with other dogs.  We think Abbey would do best in a home with other dogs.  Abbey has become a great meet and greet ambassador and everyone who meets her loves her!  Abbey is definitely ready for her forever home and whoever adopts her will be very happy indeed with this wonderful hound!

Looking for a cute girl?  Looking for sweet and petite?  Well, look no further, Sparky is here!!!!  Sparky is all energy, happiness, sweetness and cuteness all wrapped up in one great little package!  She was born October 20, 2007 and she weighs 53 pounds soaking wet.  She is definitely a "people" oriented dog.  But she also gets along great with all of the other dogs in her foster home.  Sparky would make a good family dog as she would probably love all the attention she could get from kids and any other family member who has the time for her!  She would also make a great meet and greet dog as well.  She is extremely friendly and loves being in the middle of everything.  She loves squeaky toys and is good walking on the leash.   She had a hairline fracture in her leg, but it's healing well and she will be normal very soon.  We are sure that anyone who meets Sparky will immediately fall in love with her!  We did!!

Fuzz Face Diamond
Diamond is a cute little black girl with beautiful white markings.  She is a young girl (born November 4, 2008).  Like her sister Jadiette, (we placed her recently), she decided that she did not want anything to do with that racing thing so she is now looking for her forever home.  She is a friendly and happy greyhound and loves everyone she meets.  She loves to give kisses all over.  She is great in her crate and even thanks you for putting her in it by reaching out and licking your fingers as you close the crate door.  Each time she meets people she shows that sparkling attitude by wagging her tail which makes her whole body wag!  She has that "I'm here world!" temperament and lets you know it all the time. Diamond  passed her cat test with flying colors; and the cat even loved her!  She would probably like having kids to play with.  She also gets along with other dogs.  !

Claude Monet
Claude Monet waited at the adoption kennel for awhile and we decided to bring him into our program and find him a home.  We now wonder why this nice boy had not been snatched up!  He is a handsome white dog with black markings and ticking.  We think he is one of the most beautiful boys we've seen.  He was born May 10, 2007 and he weighs around 70 pounds.  He is a very happy and outgoing dog; in fact, he can be a bit rambunctious at times.  He gets along very well with all of the other dogs in his foster home.  He is learning the routine of living in a home and is making great progress!  He also passed his cat test with flying colors!   He is the type of dog that could probably fit into almost any environment.  He likes his crate and would probably do well with a family that worked.  He walks well on the leash and would make a great walking companion.  If you like Claude, email us!
Wrigley's
Bba Monster
Monster most definitely does not live up to his name!  He is a handsome fawn greyhound with a very calm and loving personality.  He was born June 18, 2005 and his racing weight was 75 pounds.  He is a very friendly and well behaved greyhound with the maturity, training and discipline that a dog on the track earns after racing awhile;  he has benefitted from the routine lifestyle at the track that makes a dog his age such a good pet.  A dog like Monster would make a good first greyhound.   Monster gets along well with all of the other greyhounds in his foster home.  He is not cat friendly but will get along fine with other breeds of dogs.  He walks very well on the leash and would most likely do well in a home where people work because he loves his crate.  He has a helicopter tail that never stops moving when he meets people.   We think Monster is a great dog and should make someone a real fast friend!!
