A day in the life of April… April starts her day by waking her family up by happily wagging her tail into the walls and blinds as she makes her way to their bed for good morning kisses.

She is then let out for her morning toilet before coming back inside for breakfast. Her favourite foods are sardines and kangaroo mince. She has been very good at not stealing food from her foster brother, fellow elderly greyhound, Slinky! She prefers to have her meals alfresco style on the grass in the backyard. After breakfast April then spends most of her day sleeping, preferably on the lounge or sunbaking by the window. April is happy to spend her day with her foster brother while her parents go to work. April has grown particularly fond of Slinky and loves to sleep right next to him (or sometimes right on top of him!) The two are inseparable and she would really love to find a forever home with another greyhound or older large breed friend. Once her human family gets home April excitedly greets them before falling asleep at their feet (usually in the kitchen!) Just be careful not to leave any food on the bench as she has been known to steal many the piece of toast! April loves an evening snuggle on the lounge with her humans. 
Despite her age April still likes to go for her evening walk and gets very excited when walk time comes around! She loves meeting new people and even dogs on her walks. She has become somewhat of a celebrity in her street! Once the evening walk is done April will spend the rest of the night snuggled up with her foster parents or sharing a bed with her foster brother, after a delicious dinner of course! Once bedtime rolls around April knows to go to the toilet before curling up on her bed and sleeping through the night. Then she wakes up fresh as a daisy ready to do it all again!

April has come such a long way since her first day at GAP to now thriving in her foster home. She is a loveable goofball who would make an amazing addition to a family.
