Greyhounds as Pets (GAP NSW) have for many years matched thousands of greyhounds with loving homes and families.

After expanding its rehoming pathways into the United States at the beginning of 2023, GAP, Greyhound Racing NSW, and Greyhounds Australasia, have now formed a new partnership with the US Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) to assist their more than 367,000 members in finding the next member of their family, a forever greyhound.

The historic allied partnership with the United States law enforcement body was signed earlier this year in Washington DC, and will see Australian greyhounds specially prepared to serve as US companion animals - as PTSD dogs and pets - similar to the successful programs in Australia that are underway with the Australian Federal Police Association (AFPA) and Police Association of NSW (PANSW.
