**Update from foster**
Papaya has been in a foster home for a few weeks and has shown that she is able to pick things up quite quickly through the use of positive reinforcement. She loves to get treats and be praised when she does the right thing! Once settled in to the foster home, she loved to hit the pavement on an afternoon walk. Papaya was doing very well with toilet training in her foster home.
She is an inquisitive girl, who when given the time to settle in and warm up to a family, will prove that she is just the best girl ever! Oh...and her favourite toy is anything with a squeaker!!
With the weather getting warmer, you can’t go past this little fruity girl who will add just the right amount of sweetness to your life.
Papaya has fast become a staff favourite here at the Western Sydney kennels. She is gorgeous, happy, wiggly and affectionate. When she isn’t waiting at the gate for a treat or a scratch, we often catch her chilling out on her bed, and keeping cool in the shade.
We know first impressions count but Papaya can be a little nervous or unsure at first, so don’t discount her based on this! She has formed a lovely bond with her handler already and is coming leaps and bounds in her training sessions.
What Papaya’s most suited home/family would look like:
✅ A family who can go slow with interactions while she is settling in
✅ A home where she is alone for longer hours through the day
✅ Small yard is ok, she loves spending time outside on her bed
✅ Kids 12+ (who are quiet, gentle and can leave her be when needed)
✅ Another large size dog friend (must be calm and tolerant)
✅ A home on the quieter side of life
