Wanted: GAP Greyhound Foster Carers in the Northern Rivers Region

If you have been considering becoming a dog foster carer and want to make a real difference to the life of a greyhound by preparing them for pet life, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently in need of Foster Carers in the Grafton/Lismore region in Northern NSW where we have greyhounds ready to be placed into homes and begin their adoption journey through our Northern Rivers Regional GAP Program.

Becoming a GAP Foster Carer in our Regional GAP Program is easy with just 4 simple steps:

Step 1: Complete this online application form at gapnsw.com.au

Step 2: We will contact you to find a suitable 6-week foster period

Step 3: We will arrange with you to get the greyhound into your care, along with everything the dog will need whilst being fostered.

Step 4: At the end of the 6 weeks, you can either return the greyhound into GAP care or keep them longer until a suitable adopter is found.

You will have a GAP team member to support you throughout the whole journey and offer advice, as well as having access to our wider GAP team who are trained in greyhound behaviour and able to offer advice and assistance as required to make the foster experience great for you and an invaluable learning experience to the greyhound you foster.
